About of CWAB

The Cricketers Welfare Association of Bangladesh (CWAB) is the official welfare body representing the cricketers of Bangladesh. Established in 2003, CWAB was formed with the vision of protecting the rights, interests, and dignity of both current and former players. It serves as a unified platform to support cricketers during and after their professional careers, offering guidance, assistance, and a voice in key matters related to their welfare.
CWAB works closely with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and other stakeholders to ensure fair treatment, transparent policies, and long-term development opportunities for players. The association is committed to addressing the challenges cricketers face—be it injuries, retirement, or financial difficulties—and provides various forms of support including medical aid, legal advice, and educational opportunities for life beyond cricket.
Beyond welfare, CWAB plays a significant role in fostering unity among players, promoting the spirit of cricket, and contributing to the game’s development at the grassroots and national levels. It also engages in social initiatives and outreach programs, aiming to use cricket as a tool for positive change in society.
